What Makes Them Addicted To Makeup?

    Hello again, how are you guys doing? Previously, I posted about the definition of makeup addiction or known as "Cosmoholic". I also mentioned about the stage of ages of one can be addicted to makeup, from early childhood to adulthood. As for this post, I'll be discussing about the causes of makeup addiction.

    Well one of the causes that causes these cosmoholic to be addicted in all kinds of beauty products is the mass media. Mass media is powerful and highly influential. Nowadays, people are addicted into becoming beautiful that they are willing to do anything to achieve it, be it with using products or even cosmetics surgery. We are blinded with the images of beautiful models gracing the front cover of magazines, websites and social medias that we began to lose confidence in our looks. Well, putting on a little makeup during occasions is okay, but to the point of wearing thick makeup at home is not okay.

    Most of these people are making celebrities that used thick makeup as inspirations. Bear in mind that these celebrities are using high end products which are safe to use and they went to dermatologist o have checkup and treatments. Unlike us the normal people, especially those with no less information about makeup, did not go to the dermatologists often and buying affordable makeup. What we might not know about these drugstore makeup is that could be bad to us. Television series that also contributed to these addiction which showcase that wearing thick makeup is beautiful and not wearing any is not.

    Apart from that is influenced by family members and friends. Children will mimic the daily actions of their family members and to them, what my mom and sisters are doing is good, even though some is not. Some mothers even encourage their kids to wear makeup from the age as early as 5. There are even parents who put their children into beauty pageant competitions at that age. It's not suitable actually to see kids wearing heels and thick makeup at their age, and also the attitude they have.

   Well, I'm not saying that makeup is not allowed, you can wear makeup but wear it accordingly with the occasions you are attending. If you wear a heavy makeup, complete with smoky eyes and plump red lips for the school, umm that's not highly recommended.
